Academisation Consultation
St john Vianney Catholic Primary School

Welcome to the dedicated consultation page for St. John Vianney Catholic Primary School. We are embarking on a thoughtful period of reflection and dialogue regarding the potential academisation of our school and the possibility of joining Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust, a well-established and growing Catholic educational community.

Why Academisation?

In the context of an ever-evolving educational landscape, schools across the UK face a range of challenges, including:

  • Falling pupil numbers
  • Increased financial pressures

It is essential that we proactively address these challenges to secure the long-term success and sustainability of our schools, ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils.

The Opportunity of Joining Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust

By joining a wider family of Catholic schools within the Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust, we have the opportunity to:

  • Achieve savings and efficiencies at a time of growing financial pressures
  • Enhance collaboration and partnership across more like-minded schools
  • Improve opportunities to develop, learning, pastoral and spiritual development for each child through increased collaboration, challenge and support
  • Increase CPD opportunities and career pathways for staff
  • Improve retention and development of the best Catholic teachers and Leaders
  • Enjoy clear, robust and effective Governance at Trust, CEO and Local Advisory Council levels
  • Secure Catholic education across the Diocese for generations to come

Our Commitment to Stakeholders

Please be assured that this proposal is not made lightly. It arises from a deep sense of care and responsibility towards our children, families, and staff. The leadership of St. John Vianney is fully committed to ensuring that any decision made will be in the best interests of our community, present and future.
